Uncles: The Eighth Wonder of the Modern World

There are a lot of family members which bond with you differently. There may even be some you are not able to form a connection with at all. But in every family, there is always one superstar who manages to draw all the attention to himself, the laid-back, breezing-through-life uncle. My uncle is one of those entities. He is the smallest brother in the household of my maternal grandfather. You may be able to see what I am trying to convey here.

It's usually the youngest who causes trouble in the house. The same goes for me as well. Even though they are a handful to deal with, they are the only ones who are free of the burdens of looking after the well-being of your younger siblings. The youngest siblings are often very mischievous like to go about causing trouble whenever they get the chance, which makes it all the more difficult to keep them under control.

Anyways, back to the topic… it could be due to the reasons mentioned above that my uncle is such a masterpiece. You could even say he is one of a kind, though I worry he is losing this unique touch of his. When he was a bachelor, he used to come to my house with his entire gang. The bunch would dress as if they were part of some punk-rock rock band. I used to love having them around. Nowadays, I don’t know where all of them are, but the one thing I know for sure is that I miss that uncle who did not have a care.

I guess it was because he gave me the hope that life could be lived without much of a worry. Nowadays, he is busy with office, Aunt and my cousins. Now that I have brought up my aunt, lets talk a but about her as well. My aunt is like a perfect match for Uncle. Both of them are always pulling each other’s legs and maintain a jovial attitude towards each other. In fact, they are so smitten in love that I am jealous of them at times. My parents are more towards the distant type. Even though Dad is a loving and very caring individual, he is a bit guarded with his feelings. My mom is the exact opposite, which makes me more inclined towards her.

My mom even teases my uncle from time to time whenever he visits, and Uncle takes it the light way. My uncle’s entire family is very lovely and I love going to his place. Even my mom loves going there. If there is one place where I feel like I can have some fun, it’s uncle’s place. My elder uncle is pretty hardcore too, but he doesn’t compare enough to the awesomeness of my younger uncle.

My uncle is one of the best in the world (at least in my eyes), and I hope he continues to be the way he is.

  MY FIRST FRENCH ARTICLE Bonjour! Je m’appelle Palash Saxena. J’ai seize ans, mais je vais avoir dix-sept ans dans trois semaines. J'étudie au onzième niveau.
